In the outskirts of Leeds, Adel Square is witnessing a remarkable transformation. Advent, an award-winning developer, is undertaking a project that combines the restoration of Grade II listed buildings with contemporary new constructions, reshaping the living spaces in Leeds.
With 72 family homes across all phases, it seamlessly bridges the gap between heritage and modernity.
Adel Square’s distinctive character presented a dual challenge – preserving the historical integrity of Grade II listed structures while integrating cutting-edge designs for the new builds. Advent required a structural warranty that would be accepted by the UK Finance and provided full structural cover without any unnecessary exclusion clauses and a tailored warranty to cover the preservation, conversion and extension of the building.
Advent provided detailed structural reports and design details, including foundation design, relevant plans and elevations, along with the proposed construction programme in order to obtain suitable A-rated terms from a number of providers in the market.
Matt Blackhall, Senior Advisor at J3, meticulously reviewed the project and assessed the associated risks. A formal quote was subsequently sent to the client, with a schedule in place to oversee critical stages of the project, from foundations and DPC to the superstructure, until completion.
